Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder Review

Posted on 20. Apr, 2012 by in Product Reviews

Amazon Image This Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder is a decent budget-level grinder and will give you a much better and consistent grind than your blade grinder. It is small and light, and there is a lid on the grind catcher for storing and ground coffee that you do not use.

There are 17 grind positions for whichever type of coffee you like to make, from finely ground for espresso machines up to coarse for your french press.

The bean hopper can hold up to half a pound of beans, there is an electronic timer for grinding just the right amount of beans and the burr grinding wheel can be easily removed for cleaning.

What is strange about this grinder is that it does not have a model number, but, it is currently one of the best selling grinders which is why we are taking a look at it today to help you decide if it’s the right one for you.

Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder Pros:

  • One of the most affordable burr grinders available
  • Small and compact – great for a small kitchen
  • One step up from your old blade grinder
  • Excellent value for money

Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder Cons:

  • The quality of the grind may not be up to the standard of higher end models
  • The grind can contain some dust
  • This model was made exclusively for COSTCO but online retailers are now selling it too
  • There are some complaints that the difference in grind settings between fine and coarse is not obvious
